Club Lotto

No winner of Club Lotto on Sunday. Numbers drawn were 1, 5, 14 & 26. 6 Match 3 were Clive Ledwith, Anne Reynolds, Sandra Mitchell, Kevin Lyster, Orla Foy and Niall Bannon. Sellers Prize went to Anthony McCormack. Next draw on Sunday 5th May. Jackpot €15,200.

We are very grateful for the ongoing contribution we receive towards our Lotto from Club members and supporters, far and wide, without which we would not be able to run our Club.

Division 3 vs Kilbeggan

We travelled to Kilbeggan on Saturday evening last to play our fifth game of the league. On a super evening for football, the hosts made a quick start to the game and had a goal on the scoreboard in the opening minutes.

Bun struggled to get into the game in the opening ten minutes and the concession of a second goal put us under serious pressure. Barry O Mara got our account open with a fine point from play. Further points from O Mara (free), Cian Tighe and Ronan Scally kept Bun in the game at the short whistle.

A score from distance from Noel Yourell straight after half time was a great lift to the team. Bun battled hard in the second half with some great defending and some patches of fine attacking play a feature.

Further points from an O Mara free, Aidan Finnan were sandwiched in between an other Kilbeggan goal on the counter attack. O Mara closed out the scoring for Bun with another free.

We play Moate in two weeks time in our next game of the league at home.

Team: Liam Mitchell, Conor Newman, David Newman, Ronan Scally, Matthew Hope, Simon Moorehead, Finian Newman, Brian Maguire, John Kiernan, Jonny Nolan, Aidan Finnan, Mark Donnelly, Ken Conroy, Barry O Mara & Cian Tighe. Subs: Noel Yourell for Conroy, Eoghan Murray for Conor Newman, Andy Whitney for Tighe, Enda Newman for Jonny Nolan, Tommy Murphy.

Westmeath Senior Hurlers

Hard luck to Shane McGovern and the Westmeath Senior Hurlers who were defeated by Kerry in the opening round of the Joe McDonagh Cup on a score line of 1:20 to 1:14. Shane lined out at midfield and scored a point from play in the first half.
